A blanket of fluffy white snow covers Överkalix during the winter months. From December until April you can enjoy real winter with snowflakes falling softly, the northern lights, ice-covered waters, ice-crystals on your eyelashes, and a twinkling starry sky. A great time to play in the snow, go cross-country skiing, or slalom skiing, and rent cosy cabins to drink hot chocolate in.

Storlappberget Mountain and Grelsbyberget Mountain are both excellent spots for winter activities and Explore Jockfall and Jockfall Fishing & Activities have exciting bookable activities for the whole family to enjoy.
