The river delta - Visit Överkalix

The river that surrounds Överkalix offers a multitude of nature experiences. And wherever you turn in Överkalix, the water is always nearby. Beautiful views surround you, so why not try a little canoeing in the river. If you are a beginner or would like to go fishing with young children, the water is easily accessible via Strandpromenaden (the beach promenade), just cross your fingers for good fishing luck. For those who wish to discover hidden gems along the river, there are more secluded locations outside of central Överkalix. Ängesån and Jockfall provide a paradise for anglers. Remember to buy a fishing licence!
